Our Services

  • Basil Bodle Reserve has toilets (Pinedale Crescent side), a skate ramp, swings, bike track, picnic area, cricket pitch, and a playing field. Entrances are on Pinedale Crescent and Blue Pacific Parade (near the Riversdale Store).

    Please help keep the park tidy and enjoyable for everyone — little ones learn from the big kids! Watch this space, a revamp/upgrade is coming soon!

  • Two courts are available to hire at $10 per hour (per court). Racquets and balls can also be hired. During busy times, please use the booking sheet next to the Golf Clubhouse. Court use is free for Golf Club members.

    No bikes or skateboards on the courts, and please wear tennis shoes to protect the surface.

  • House-to-house collection is on Mondays (rubbish out by 7:30am). Extra collections run over Christmas. Use the blue Masterton Council bags and recycling bins provided.

    Public recycling bins are beside the Basil Bodle Reserve entrance on Pinedale Crescent — no household rubbish. Bottle caps go in the rubbish bin.

  • Riversdale Beach welcomes camping and self-contained campervans only.

    NO FREEDOM CAMPING is allowed.

    There is a designated NZMCA park (Site ID 5118) for members, providing short-term stays. It’s located on Pinedale Crescent behind the fire shed. The park is dog-friendly and just a short walk to the beach and store. The playground and public toilets are conveniently located across the road.

  • Please use the signposted beach access ways and respect the dunes. Blue posts mark the paths back to the road.

    Vehicle access is allowed at the southern and northern ends only — not in front of houses. Drive slowly and be mindful of children, dogs, and other beach users. Please keep clear of the northern dotterel area, the only dotterel breeding site in the Wellington region, which is a protected space for the birds to nest.
